Today
I'm sharing with you a very easy recipe called sattu ke parathe. It is a very
famous Indian breakfast recipe. It is my go to recipe when I'm in rush to get
to work. Everyone in my family loves this recipe. I learnt it from my mother
and she from hers. So it’s a pretty old recipe that you must keeping in your repertoire
of recipes. The ingredients are also daily use grocery that is easily available
at home.
There are a few things that you
must keep in mind while making this. The consistency of the filling should be
same as of the dough so that it doesn’t come out when you are rolling the
paratha.
For the dough take flour, kalonji,
ajwain, ghee and salt. Add water and make soft pliable dough. You know that you
have kneaded good dough when no flour is sticking to the surface of the bowl.
Make a paste of onion, garlic,
ginger, lemon juice and green chillies to be added to the the filling. For the
filling take sattu, mustard oil, ajwain, kalonji, salt and the paste. Mix it
all together. Add 1-2 tbsp of water if the mixture is dry and crumbly.

Divide the dough in 10 equal
parts. Take each part and roll it in a ball. Flatten it out and make a well
shape. Fill it with the filling trying not to overfill it. Pinch it on top to
seal the dough. Flatten it and roll it out.
Take a hot tawa and out the rolled
dough on it. Cook on one side and then flip it over. Add ghee to the top. Once cooked flip it over
again and add ghee to this side as well.
